Summer time, summer hair, am I right? In my 21 years of existence, I have with great forethought avoided coloring my hair. I naturally, pre styling, have thick, curly hair, which translates into high propensity for dryness. Bleaching the crap out of it felt counter-productive, considering I'm always battling it to maintain sleekness and shine. But I've been itching to switch it up a little - add some dimension to it.
I trust no one but the folks at Laicale with my hair and this was no exception. Simone and Kevyn worked their magic, giving me subtle caramel highlights with brighter, blonder pieces framing the face. She diffused them into the strands, so it's subtle and simultaneously dramatic in natural light. She also used product to seal the ends and protect the hair from breakage and excessive damage. The roots are dark and then it transforms through the Bayalage technique. As you can see, it adds the much-needed dimension and rich depth to the hair, whether it's styled wavy or straight. Kevyn thinned out some of the bulk and layered it perfectly. He then styled it wavy - beachy, sexy waves.
I could've love it more and I cannot say enough nice things about Laicale, Simone, and Kevyn. Check them out here.
