Some vignettes from the past few weeks. I've been taking some "me time", grappling with that almost paralyzing, pre-graduation anxiety. Relatable content for all you seniors out there, I'm sure. The immense pressure to have your life sorted in an instant is of course, suffocating. I've always prided myself on my work ethic, having spent my entire college career (heck, even my time in high school) working. Now that the finish line is drawing nearer, it's almost like I'm more frazzled, scattered, and lost than I've ever been. My neuroses in this area, coupled with some other personal issues, have ensured an almost perpetual state of hibernation since the holidays. Well, I've decided to break out of this toxic cycle and spend the last week before the semester starts keeping myself busy. I hope that the chaos brings with it some newfound sense of clarity.
On to things of a more frivolous, lighthearted, less Morrissey marathon-inducing nature; this beautiful, tailored camel coat has been a requisite in my chilly weather arsenal lately. The camel coat has become the unspoken uniform of the sartorially inclined woman. I partake in this cliché with the utmost vigor, sheeple-esque that I am. This particular piece is by Pure Cashmere and is perfectly tailored with well-cut proportions that don't engulf my body. Another favorite item is this pair of heeled chelsea boots via Public Desire and the wide-brimmed Janessa Leone hat. My quest for a sturdy, stiff brimmed hat has been long and arduous but well worth it - this baby is gorgeous.
I also wanted to give you guys a little glimpse into my abode. As is evident, I am a ceaseless devotee of copper accents and marble everything. Growing up, I was always surrounded by beautiful Italian marble because that's the business my father is in. It certainly instilled an early love for it in me and its resurgence (driven hilariously by Instagram ~aesthetiques~) warms the frozen cockles of my heart. My end goal with the look of the apartment was to blend minimal elements with luxurious overtones - hence the overwhelmingly white palette mixed in with metals, fur, and cowhide.
That's it for now! I'll be back with another update in a few days. Have a gorgeous weekend, mes cheries!
